About this file
This document is an Addendum I to the Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 23-061-170 for Salton Sea Laboratory Services issued by the State Water Resources Control Board, Colorado River Regional Water Quality Control Board, hereinafter referred to as the Water Board. The addendum responds to potential bidder questions submitted by May 1, 2024, 3:00 PM. The Water Board does not have an active contract for these services and is seeking bids for laboratory services, including sample courier pickup services at the Regional Water Board office and field locations in the southern end of the Salton Sea at Poe Road in Brawley, CA. Completed proposals for this IFB are due by 3 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
The Water Board clarifies that this is not a prevailing wage contract and does not have an engineer's estimate. Bidders can submit their package without the imidacloprid in sediment analysis if they cannot provide that specific test, as long as they can perform all the other required analyses. The Water Board does not have a rate sheet from previous years, as there is no active contract for these services.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SUMMARY
ADDENDUM I
QUESTION 9: We have the capability in-house and with subcontract labs to run analyses for all the analytes except for the Sediment method for Imidacloprid, since none of our subcontract labs we have contacted can run 8270D-MRM or any other certified method for it. There is one subcontract lab that could analyze Imidacloprid in Sediment by a proprietary LCMS method, but it is uncertified. Is that acceptable? If not, can our package still be submitted if we list the Imidacloprid in Sediment as "N/A" on the cost workbook and analyte list?
ANSWER 9: Your package can still be submitted without the imidacloprid in sediment as long as all of the other analyses can still be performed.
