About this file

This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement filed by the Illinois Department of Corrections, Division of ICI - IL River, under the Illinois Procurement Code. The statement indicates that ICI - IL River is running out of white and wheat flour needed to produce bakery items for their customers, which include IDOC and other state agencies. The emergency procurement is necessary to obtain enough flour inventory to last until early May 2019, as the current contract vendor is unable to supply the product at the required price. The emergency procurement is authorized for a term not to exceed 90 days, with the option to extend beyond 90 days if the Chief Procurement Officer determines additional time is necessary.

The total estimated cost of the emergency procurement is $213,000. The procurement is being made from the vendor Advanced Commodities, Inc. to prevent a serious disruption in the critical state services provided by the bakery operations at ICI - IL River.
