Statement of Work Clarification
IBC-02-22
June 7, 2022 To All Prospective Bidders, A question was raised regarding clearing the vista in isolated areas of the project where the use of ropes and climbing gear to secure individuals might be required to accomplish the contract specifications.
As stated in the description of the contract, there are rugged and difficult to access areas of the project. Safety of the crews/employees is always paramount and will addressed during the vetting process of prospective contractors. Capabilities will assessed and factored into selecting the contract award. In isolated spots where vista clearing is considered too dangerous by the contractor, the Contracting Officer (CO) or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) may allow very limited portions to be skipped.
It should be noted that there are also relatively easy sections of the project with very limited clearing to be done. It is expected that bidders take into consideration all various degrees of difficulty along the entire project length when submitting their package. Areas that are allowed to be skipped by the CO or COR may not be invoiced for payment. Deductions will based on the overall cost per mile for the entire project length.
Respectfully, JT Moore Contracting Officer
