Wage Determination Summary

This is a Register of Wage Determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division, for the Service Contract Act. The determination (No. 2015-4979, Revision 27, effective December 3, 2025) applies to federal service contracts in Iowa counties including Dallas, Guthrie, Madison, Polk, and Warren. The document establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits applicable to service contractors performing work in this geographic area.

The wage determination covers approximately 200 occupational classifications organized by job categories including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation. Wage rates range from $12.75 per hour for lifeguards to $49.52 per hour for cable splicers. All listed occupations receive health and welfare benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly), vacation accrued after one year of service, and eleven paid holidays annually. Computer employees and air traffic controllers are subject to specific wage determination footnotes addressing exemption criteria and night/Sunday pay differentials. A hazardous pay differential of 4-8 percent applies to designated positions involving explosives or ordnance. The determination includes procedures for conforming unlisted job classifications through Standard Form 1444 submissions to the Department of Labor within 30 days of contract award.
