About this file
This Justification Review Document is for a single-source procurement by the National Guard Bureau for a Monaco MAAP-X Fire Alarm Panel and Devices, valued at $69,313.48. The contract requires the contractor to design, fabricate, and install a fire sprinkler and alarm system in two locations at Joint Base Andrews: (1) within a new Secure Compartmentalized Information Space (SCIF) in Building 1217 and (2) replacing the existing Fire Alarm System in Building 2493.
The procurement is being conducted under 41 USC 1901 as implemented in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for solicitation from a single source. The justification emphasizes the need for compatibility with Joint Base Andrews' existing transmission and Mass Notification System to ensure compliance with design guidelines, public laws, and federal regulations. The contracting activity (113 Mission Support Contracting) plans to compete the majority of the project, with market research revealing several small businesses capable of providing the services. The contract is a firm fixed-price type, funded through O&M, Air, with a total estimated request price of $6,500.00.
