About this file
This salient characteristics document details the technical specifications for mobile light tower equipment to be leased for use at Fort Wainwright and Donnelly Training Area (DTA). The required light sets must illuminate 45,000 square feet, feature a 20-foot telescoping mast, include integrated power generation, withstand 40 mph winds, and use LED bulbs. JP-8 fuel compatibility is preferred but not mandatory.
The contractor responsibilities include hauling, delivery, and pickup services for all light sets, as well as repair or replacement of non-functional units within 24 hours throughout the rental period. While U.S. Military personnel will handle refueling and local repositioning, contractors must remain flexible regarding changes to performance periods, quantities, and potential service additions within the contract scope.
