QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ROUND #1

S&RTS REPUBLIC OF PHILIPPINES

SOLICITATION # HTC71123RR006

QUESTION # 1: We understand that stevedoring rates are based on volume dimension (LxWxH) vs weight and is priced whichever is higher of the two. In order to adequately provide price estimates, we request the dimension of all military cardo under this RFP.

RESPONSE: The rates are based on weight and method of move, not by volume. Weight class are from 0-25K - 25K-60K - 60k-150K.

QUESTION # 2: There are many piers on the port of Manila that are managed by different stevedoring service providers. To better understand this requirement, we request clarification as to which piers in Manila Port will, or may, be used under this RFP.

RESPONSE: This contract shall cover all ports to include all terminals within those ports, as possible destinations for mission requirements.

QUESTION # 3: Similarly to question #2, which pier in Cebu Port will be used for this RFP?

RESPONSE: This contract shall cover all ports to include all terminals within those ports, as possible destinations for mission requirements.

QUESTION # 4: We understand that Puerto Princesa caters for self-sustained vessels and Ro- Ro only, and that the stevedoring company there only has forklifts and trucks to support operations. Are crane requirements for this type of port to be considered as an out of pocket expense that is reimbursable?

RESPONSE: Yes, it is understood that Crane service if needed and would be reimbursable cost, subject to COR approval.
