About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation HT941025Q2047, providing clarification on maintenance and certification requirements for biosafety cabinets. The Q&A addresses key aspects of the contract, including travel costs, maintenance schedules, and pricing expectations. Contractors are informed that additional site visits for testing and maintenance should be included in CLIN 1001, with costs to be incorporated into the overall 5-year period ceiling and 6-month extension. The government indicates there are no specific limits on the number of trips, which will be determined by calibration and service maintenance schedules. Solicitation HT941025Q2047 Q&A

1) Section 4.3 covers additional maintenance and certification requirements. It’s understood that the contractor is to provide additional site visits to any location that requires additional testing and/or maintenance. Is the intention of this solicitation that the contractor is to insert these extra travel costs into CLIN 1001? Yes, additional maintenance and certification requirement cost should be included in the overall 5-year period ceiling and 6mo extension.

If so, are parts and/or labor to be included in CLIN 1001 or are those costs to be covered by each location? Yes, same as previous question.

Are there any limits to the number of trips that the government may request of the contractor? No, trips are “as needed” based on calibration and service maintenance schedule.

2) Is there a schedule of when these units are due? Yes, schedule provided.

3) Any idea of how many will be available per round of testing and certification? Depends when certification is due for each location.

4) I am assuming that final pricing will need to be inclusive of all travel. Yes

5) Is there an estimated number of trips per year? Trips are “as needed” based on calibration and service maintenance schedule.
