About this file
This is a Consolidated Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity HT001426QE028 regarding audio booth installation at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The document addresses two key inquiries regarding the audio booth procurement. First, it clarifies that while contractors may propose filling in existing floor pits to accommodate equipment, this is not required, and the contract will be awarded on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis. Room sizes are fixed at their maximum capacity, and any wall removal to enlarge spaces is prohibited due to potential disruption to neighboring patient care rooms. Second, the government clarifies that this is a turnkey project requiring the contractor to assume full responsibility for all demolition work outside the booths, including removal of soffits, walls, ceiling grids, and sheetrock as necessary for booth removal and installation. All associated costs for demolition, sheetrock removal, trim panels, materials, and painting must be included in the contractor's proposal, with the final installation expected to appear complete and professionally finished.

Audio Booths
Fort Campbell, KY
Q1) Does the government want to make either of the rooms larger and/or would consider having the pit filled in and a low-profile audio booth installed?
A1) A proposal could fill in the floor if needed to accommodate their proposed equipment, however it is not a requirement and the contract will be awarded as lowest price, technically acceptable. Room sizes are the maximum for the space that can accommodate the booths, any other proposed removal of walls to enlarge the space would disrupt neighboring patient care rooms.
Q2) Is the government or the contractor responsible for demo work outside the booth such as taking down soffits and walls next to the booth to give access for disposal of current booths? This includes tying the existing ceiling grid that appears to be fastened to the existing wall in the photo provided.
A2) This needs to be a turnkey project, and it needs to look completed after installation including painted. The expectation is the contractor address sheetrock if it is needed to be removed as part of the demolition or installation. These costs should be factored into the proposal along with any costs for trim panels, other materials, and/or paint.
