About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ HT001426QE012 at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, addressing vendor inquiries about document destruction and records management services.

The RFQ covers biweekly bin servicing for a hospital facility, with the government clarifying that approximately 40 bins are typically serviced rather than the stated 48, requiring vendors to walk into each building rather than have bins staged. The facility has a maximum of three floors per building, with elevators available for container movement and truck parking designated at the rear of the hospital near the logistics warehouse. Badging will be provided and must be worn at all times within the medical group, and no site-specific training will be provided. The previous contract award was FA5587-21-P-0020 with a total value of GBP 18,408.00 for the base plus all option years. As an overseas (OCONUS) requirement, small business set-asides are not applicable, and the government has not considered GSA posting or total small business set-aside status. Currently, no unscheduled mobile purging events or non-paper media destruction services are anticipated, though vendors may propose line items for these services if foreseen.

Questions

RFQ: HT001426QE012 Location: RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom

# Answers Questions

1.

Section 1.3.1 states 48 is all bins but you might not need to empty all bins bi-weekly. A more appropriate number would be 40 bins.

What is the historical number of bins serviced bi-weekly? (Is it always 48 bins, or is it typically fewer than that?)

2.

You will need to walk into each building. Please see attached map of the hospital.

Would the bins be staged, or would we need to walk each building?

3.

Max of 3 floors. Please see attached map of the hospital.

How many floors are in each building?

4.

FA5587-21-P-0020. Total contract amount with base

+ all option years is GBP

18,408.00

What are the last contract award number and total award amount?

5.

Elevators are available.

Please see attached map of the hospital.

Does the area have a ramp or an elevator/lift to get the containers onto the ground next to the truck?

6.

The truck will need to park at the back of the hospital near the logistics warehouse. Please see attached map of the hospital.

Is there a loading dock or area where the truck needs to park to perform the services at all locations?

7.

This is an OCONUS requirement Has this been considered for posting on GSA?

8.

Please see section 4.5.2.

Badges will be provided and worn at all times while inside the medical group.

Will badging be required?

9.

No training will be provided.

What site or contract-specific training do you require, and will you provide the training platform?

10.

Since this requirement is

OCONUS, small business set-asides are not required

Has the agency considered making this solicitation a total small business set-aside?

11.

At this time, we do not have any unscheduled services that will be required.

Will any foreseen mobile purging events or any possible unscheduled services be required? If so, please create a line item for additional services.

12.

No.

Will there be any unforeseen requests for non-paper media destruction? If so, what is the frequency, how many containers, and what type of media?

Non-paper media must be destroyed in a separate truck with a separate schedule to avoid contamination of the paper for recycling. It also costs significantly more to destroy non-paper media compared to paper, so they cannot be invoiced on the same CILN. Please create a line item for non-paper media services.
