IOM QUESTIONS
1. Do we need to adhere to an hourly rate for both the technical and professional components of IONM services?
There is no professional component to the IONM services for both WRNMMC and FT BELVOIR. Please adhere to an hourly rate for the technical component.
2. Do we need to submit a fee for supplies independently?
The cost of single use supplies should be written into the cost per hour on the bid. The costs of rental of equipment, maintenance of equipment, malpractice and medical liability insurance and any other costs associated with this requirement should be written into the costs per hour as well.
3. Your RFP includes mention of a "contract or manpower report". Would you kindly verify what this refers to?
The contract or manpower report is an annual report that provides Congress the labor costs associated with DoD contracts per the National Defense Authorization Act.
4. Are you able to share any volume or demographic information for the facilities that would be receiving service? What is your historical usage as far as how many Intraoperative Monitoring Technologists you will need for each facility and its coverage?
WRNMMC averages 32 monitored cases per month. FT BELVOIR averages 16 cases per month.
5. Do you currently have an incumbent and if so, can you tell us who it is?
The incumbent is Neuro Monitoring Technologies.
6. All of our medical personnel are Independent Contractors. As such, do they have to be our employees in order to respond to the solicitation?
No, they don’t have to be your employees in order to respond to the solicitation.
7. On page 53 of the solicitation, it states that the "contractor must furnish its own neuromonitoring equipment to complete the services necessary in this contract." Can you elaborate on this requirement? Do Intraoperative Monitoring Technologists generally have this type of equipment? Is it portable? Does it have to be inspected by the Bio med Department at the facility?
Bidding companies must provide their own monitoring equipment and supplies to successfully perform related tasks. The monitoring equipment is portable and must be inspected by facility Biomed.
