Questions and Answers for BAA 13-012 Call 0004
Reference Question Answer
1 SOO C, page 4, Section 5.6.2
The SOO states, “Adapters for the most common platforms will be included in this project.” Could the Government provide a list of common platforms it would like integrated?
Also, does the Government desire the OCU to be able to communicate with any platform or just the most common ones?
The Government’s desire is to have the OCU be able to communicate with the most common platforms, specifically the Andros FA 6 and the Wolverine.
2 SOO D, page 2, Section 5.4.2
The SOO states, “The solution must be compatible with existing camera devices …” Does the Government require that the solution be compatible with every body-worn camera currently available, or is there a subset of common body-worn cameras that the Government would consider essential to integrate with (with the remaining existing cameras "nice” to integrate with)?
The Government does not require that the solution be compatible with every existing camera. The solution must be able to be integrated and compatible with most existing cameras. However, that does not mean that solution has to be mechanically connected to the camera. Connectivity and integration can be accomplished by Bluetooth, hotwire, USB or micro ports as an example.
