Text version

Traditionally t-shirts are 5.4 oz or 6.1 oz in weight – is 6.4 oz a typo? Would a 6.1 oz tee shirt be acceptable? A 6.1 oz tee shirt will be acceptable. The minimum weight is 6.1 oz.

I am especially finding it hard to locate a tee shirt that is above 6.1 oz that comes in red and royal. Can you tell me the manufacturer that you are referring to in the bid? There is no name brand preference. This is no name brand requirement. However, the tee shirt weight can be a minimum of 6.1 oz.

Tee shirt and polo shirts indicate limit on weight (6.4 to 8 oz limit and 6.3 to 7.0 oz limit respectively). Does that mean that the maximum is between those weights or it can be up to but not over those limits? A 6.1 oz tee shirt will be acceptable. The minimum weight is 6.1 oz. The polo shirt shall have a minimum weight of 6.3 oz and a maximum weight of 7.0 oz.

For the sample of the red, is there a name for it or a brand of apparel you have used in the past to match up? There is no name brand preference. This is no name brand requirement.

What brand have you used in the past for a 6.4 oz tee shirt, or do you have a specific brand preference?

There is no name brand preference. This is no name brand requirement. However, a 6.1 oz tee shirt will be acceptable. The minimum weight is 6.1 oz.

On page 3 it says that everything embroidered or printed on red or royal will be done in white, but under the clothing type design it says full color screen print of the logo for the left chest and sleeve. Am I to quote the full color design?

All seals (DHS seals and ANCCC seals) shall be in full color. All “FEMA Corps” lettering shall be in white.

Are all patch/embroidery requirements in full color, and are all screen printing on tee shirts and hoodies in one color (white)?

All seals (DHS seals and and ANCCC seals) shall be in full color. All lettering shall be in white.

Will you only award the contract in aggregate? Or will you consider awarding by line item? Are you intending to award for all items to one vendor or can you award the embroidered items and screened items to separate vendors?

Award will be made in the best interest in the Government.

Do you have samples of the items in your Washington, D.C. location?

No samples are being provided. There are no name brand requirements for this acquisition.

Should the jackets have fleece lining?

No, the jackets should not have fleece lining.

Does the Buy American Act mean that the items have to be 100% made in the USA?

Please review Subpart 25.1 Buy American Act-Supplies of the FAR.
