Market Research Instructions for the
Risk MAP Production and Technical Services (PTS) Follow‐On Acquisition
The following Instructions are intended for individuals and/or organizations interested in contributing to the market research in support of the FEMA Risk MAP Production and Technical Services (PTS) Follow‐On Acquisition. These instructions detail how to access the FEMA IdeaScale site, create an account, and participate in the Risk MAP PTS market research discussion.
To start contributing ideas in support of market research for the Risk MAP Production and Technical Services (PTS) follow‐on acquisition, simply go to http://fema.ideascale.com/.
In the upper right corner of the page there are options to Register or Log in. If you are a new user to FEMA’s IdeaScale website, you must register. For returning users, your existing login will allow you to access the site.
To Register:
You will be asked to enter an email address to register for access to the site. You can choose whether to have your postings listed anonymously as you register. We would like everyone contributing to these discussions to enter their feedback anonymously. You will be asked a question to ensure that you are a real person registering for the site.
Once you have entered this information, you will receive an email from FEMA to verify your account.
Open the email and follow the link that says “Yes, this is my email!”
This will take you to the IdeaScale site where you will be asked to update your password. Enter the password you wish to use to access the site and enter the password again for confirmation.
If you successfully update your password you will see a message that it has been updated. You can then click the link to return to the IdeaScale homepage.
To Contribute:
“Risk Mapping, Assessment and Planning (Risk MAP)” is an active campaign under the list of campaigns along the left side of the webpage. Click on the Risk MAP campaign and you will be directed to that page. Additionally, if you can’t find the Risk MAP campaign on the left‐hand side column, simply search for “Risk MAP” and the campaign should come up.
Once there you can post new ideas, comment on the ideas of others, and vote for ideas that have been posted.
Please note that the layout of the IdeaScale site may be different if you are accessing it using a mobile device.
Thanks for your participation!
