Site Visit Notes and Questions/Answers for

AV Relocation and Cabling – HSFE09-17-Q-0011

1. For the AV Relocation Phase – Conference Room 3 will be converted to cubicles and the equipment there will need to be moved. Conference Room 2 will remain as is and no equipment will need to be moved. Conference Room 1 will have its door relocated and therefore the equipment will need to shift to be centered on the wall.

2. Please provide construction drawings.

a. Drawings have been provided. Drawings for new cubicle placement are not yet available.

b. FEMA has provided the current cubicle layout. The new layout will prioritize placing cubicles near walls/pillars for ease of cabling.

3. The current layout of the 12th floor will remain basically the same – the only changes in the walls will be in relation to the conference rooms changing.

4. TEAM is the General Contractor performing the construction. There POC and contact information is:

5. In the Conference Rooms – The Requirement is for the vendor to add microphones and speakers.

a. THIS IS NO LONGER A REQUIREMENT. MICROPHONES AND SPEAKERS DO NOT NEED TO

BE INCLUDED. Please see updated SOO dated 9/11/2017.

6. Will the microphones be mounted or handheld?

a. THIS IS NO LONGER A REQUIREMENT. MICROPHONES AND SPEAKERS DO NOT NEED TO

BE INCLUDED. Please see updated SOO dated 9/11/2017.

7. All of the 11th and 12th floors of the building area occupied by FEMA.

8. There is only 1 Firewall in the area around the data room.

a. See the Attachment for Data Cable Path.

9. All of the equipment for the “New” ORA conference room will come from the “Current” ORA conference room.

10. The two monitors in the Current ORA conference room will not be re-used. Offerors are requested to provide replacement monitors that meet the minimum requirements per the SOO:

2 each 60 inch wide, new (not refurbished), monitors, HDMI compatible (See HDMI

Requirements attachment), minimum 1080p resolution, 16:9 = wide screen format aspect ratio and suitable mounts if old mounts cannot be repurposed.

11. Will the Offeror be required to provide AV Programming?

a. No this is not a requirement of the SOO.

12. The New ORA conference room will require a new floor monument.

13. For the Workstation Cabling requirement – FEMA would like to get rid of as many floor monuments as possible and utilize drops.

14. Is the building a Union building?

a. The RFQ will be updated to include Service Contract Act clauses and the DOL Wage

Rates as appropriate.

15. For the AV Relocation – what are the cable counts and types?

a. Cable count is not available at this time.

b. Please see “As Built” Attachment for additional information on the ORA AV installation.

16. Will the cables be run back to the data room? Patch panel? Rack?

a. Cables shall be run back to the server panel in the data room.

17. Does the scope of work include relocation of card readers?

a. No.

Questions Received via Email

1. Can you please post the addendum?

a. There is no addendum for this RFQ. All amendments will be posted to FBO.gov as they become available.

2. Was the site visit mandatory?

a. No. The site visit was not mandatory.

3. Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past?

a. Similar cabling work for workstations has previously been completed:

i. HSFE09-16-P-0228

ii. GA Technical Service Inc.
