QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
HSCG84-13-R-AA8432
1. QUESTION: My main concern is paragraph 5.1.2. The contractor shall provide the following required services at frequencies in accordance with the manufacturers standard warranty and as agreed by the COR. Is there a way to agree upon frequencies prior to the proposal submission.
RESPONSE: See Amendment 0001.
2. QUESTION: My question with regards to 2.2 repairs when building 102 chiller goes down and all water cooled refrigeration equipment shuts down. How long before food product goes bad or defrosts? Six (6) hours is a very long time to wait for emergency service. Normal lead time for this type of service is 1 ½ to 2 hours.
RESPONSE: The reason for the 6 hour window was to open the solicitation up to other companies further up the keys (not limiting it to a local vendor). The galley can shift stores into a truck if needed.
3. QUESTION: Once the emergency call is enacted does labor charge begin at that time or when the tech gets to property of the USCG, Key West, FL?
RESPONSE: Labor charges begin when technician arrives onsite.
4. QUESTION: Is there a current contract. If so, what is the contract award amount?
RESPONSE: No.
5. QUESTION: What is the name of the contractor.
RESPONSE: There is not a contractor.
