CAUTION: DO NOT WIND COILS WHEN HUMIDITY IS OVER 50% AS INDICAT

ON HUMIDICATOR IN COIL WINDING DEPARTMENT.

Check & remove burrs and clean FP.:.8984 cup. Clean any residue epoxy resin left on bobbin from previous lot. Slide winding end of coi I cup across coarse #60 emery cloth to remove any oil due to hand! ing. (one pass is sufficient). Fasten with

CP-8425 washer and CP-7778 screw. Assemble (2) FP-8B36 thread inserts into coi I flush with O.D. using rawhide hammer. Cut

Mylar strip FP-8985 to length. Assemble (2) teflon discs, (1) brass disc & screw to winding fixture. Wrap Mylar strip F~-8995 around fixture between coi I cup and teflon disc. Add rubber ban

Tighten and secure in place washer CP-8425 and screw CP-7778.

Mylar strip must be kept tight and snug between teflon disc and cup on winding fixture. Remove rubber band. Add screw and adh~sive spot to fixture.

Place fixture in winding machine. Insert end of #25 ga. formvar insulated copper wire RC 70-2034 through 1.0. slot and wrap around screw post on machine. Mix epoxy resin per F-200 sub 55-

40TS.667TS. Use wax free cups. Mix 100 parts of resin E-650 and 20 parts of curing agent E-733 by weight. Mix thoroughly and use immediately. Mix for (1) coi I winding, as mixed resin must not be used later than 20 minutes after mixing. Wind

125/127 turns of #25 formvar insulated copper wire in six layers per b/p. Apply mixed epoxy resin on 1.0. of first layer, between each successive layer and on 0.0. of sixth or final layer. Apply Mylar strip FP-9002 on 0.0. of winding. Hold in place with rubber band. Remove all excess epoxy resin.on fixturE.

Finish wrap 0.0. of wire by wrapping two layers of #25 wire.

Remove rubber band when partial of the first layer is completed and Mylar strip is secure. Wrap end of wire around pin. Check-· clean off excess resin. Unwrap wires from screw on machine.

Loosen screw on machine and remove part. Wrap wires around post on fixture and set aside to cure air dry over night or cure wound coi I on fixture in oven for three hours at 125° - 150°F.

Loosen wires from post. Unwind the (2) wrapping layers of wire from fixture and discare wire. Remove Mylar strip FP-9002, remove screws and washers from both ends of fixT.ure including

Teflon discs. Clean off excess epoxy res~n buildup with sharp knife. Check O.D. winding using 2.245 ring gage.

Remove coi I from bobbin using arbor press, fixture and sleeve. Remove inner Mylar strip FP~8985. Remove excess epoxy resin buildup on 1.0. Set aside in tray.

Test for strength per F-1476. Place coil in fixture. Secure screws. Place in arbor press using tensile fixture FU-4395-TL torque wrench, (Richmont Products CAL-30 Roto Torque) Hex fittin nest fixture, and force gage (Di I lon Co., 500# Compression Model

Apply date stamp (month & year) to part using rubber stamp on conical portion of coi I unit, using Vogler's Opaque White Ink. Stamp part number on jiffy bag. Place part in bag and staple.

Inspect. Check for shorts and open circuits. Vi sua I inspect for rubber stamped date on conical surface which indicates coi I has been checked for tensile test per F-1476 at a previous operation.
