Questions and Answers to HSCG40-16-R-P13306
1. Hull CAD model:
a. What CAD package/file format is the model currently in (CATIA, NX, parasolid, etc.)?
Answer. The 3D hull surface geometry is in Rhino3D format and an FE model of the structure is available in NASTRAN format.
b. Is a full assembly containing all of the individual parts available?
Answer. The FE model is a complete geometric assembly, however, loading and boundary conditions need to be applied for this effort.
2. The deckhouse includes structural drawings, but are CAD models available?
Answer. The structural drawings are in 2D CAD. There is a 3D model of the hull surface in Rhino3D and a NASTRAN model of the hull and house structure.
3. The 3D laser scan point cloud provided is just the raw point data in space, or has it been resolved into 3D solid objects?
Answer. The point cloud will be available in a reduced format (20mm grid) in Rhino 3D format.
4. May an image be provided clarifying the scope of the frame 0 to 28 section, or at minimum provide how many feet from starting at the bow running back towards the stern?
Answer. The area of 01 level foredeck is approximately 15 feet wide and 25 feet long. The hull is 154 feet long.
5. Are the deformation photos available?
Answer. No photographs will be made available at this time.
6. Does the task require only modeling the specific load case that resulted in the damage, or the damage case plus others based on shear and bending moment data?
Answer. The loading to be considered is from a combination of sources including wave loading, thermal loading and initial imperfections. Combinations of these loadings and initial deformations are to be examined as part of the RCA as described in the SOW.
7. What, if any, computer hardware and/or software is to be provided as GFE for use during the contract period of performance?
Answer. No computer software will be GFE.
