The following questions were presented to the contracting office in response to solicitation HSCG40-16-Q-60558 posted on 8/31/2016.

Response to Question #1: Looks like the chuck size should be: 15" 4 independent jaw chuck can be either hydraulic or manual

Question #2: On Page #6 it says to only answer (b) if Sam.gov is up to date. Should we only complete (b), is (a) not required?

Response to Question #2: Please complete both sections.

Question #3: On Page # 3 it states that Delivery on install has to be complete within 15 weeks. It could take a maximum of 20 weeks for this to take place.(16 week delivery for machine to port, then approx. 4 weeks for delivery to USCG / install / Training). Please advise if we should just state actual time period on bid.

Response to Question #3: Provide the actual time period for delivery from award.

Question #4: On Page # 3 CLIN 0002 (Technical support for delivery and setup) Should we include the costs for Rigging, Trucking, and oil/coolant in this line item.

Response to Question #4: We can provide rigging support to remove the lathe from the truck and place the lathe in the shop. We will need the price for the transportation (Trucking), and oil/coolant for the lathe.

Question #5: Will concrete foundation be supplied by USCG according to Manufactures recommendations prior to installation?

Response to Question #5: Any foundation needed for the machine will be supplied by the manufacturer.

Question #6: What is the current Concrete thickness and condition in expected machine placement location?

Response to Question #6: We do not have the actual thickness of the concert, but our faculties’ engineers have stated that the thickness is sufficient to support the weight of the lathe.
