2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND SERVICES: Turnkey package is required to include shipping, delivery, placement, assembly, and set up in building 8A at USCG Coast Guard Yard. Coast Guard Yard will connect the lathe to an existing power disconnect and existing airline. It is the contractor’s full responsibility to provide any material required to perform the stated requirements under the terms of this statement of work. This product will be installed with the manufacturer’s recommended methods, and the final setup and pre-production test routine must be accomplished by a factory trained technician who is knowledgeable of this specific product to prevent exclusion of manufacturer’s warranty.
2.1 In addition the contractor shall:
1. Provide all operator and maintenance manuals, parts list, electrical, mechanical and foundation drawings.
2. Provide the manufacturer’s standard full parts and labor warranty, no less than one year full warranty required.
3. Provide Technical support at the time of delivery and set-up.
4. Shall insure the machine meets all of the design requirements, specifications, and OSHA safety requirements.
5. Operate the machine after set-up to insure there are no discrepancies with parts or components during testing and operation.
6. Provide all fluids as required for machine start-up and dispose of excess and residues.
7. Dispose of all shipping containers and associated items used in the shipment of the machines.
8. Provide on-site operator, mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair training for up to seven people.
3. PERSONNEL: All personnel shall receive visitor’s passes and clearance from USCG Coast Guard Yard Security located at the Main Gate. List of personnel needing access shall be provided to the COR 24 hours prior to requiring access. Personnel will be required to provide full name, picture I.D. (valid driver’s license preferred), and DOB. For non US citizen’s, a passport will be required.
4. PHYSICAL SECURITY: The contractor shall obtain vehicle passes for each vehicle used on USCGC Yard during the setup and training period. The necessary vehicle passes can be obtained from USCG Coast Guard Yard located at the Main Gate. To obtain pass personnel will need a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. List of personnel needing access shall be provided to the COR 24 hours prior to requiring access.
5. CONTRACT HOURS OF OPERATION AND POC: Work Schedule Normal Hours: The contractor shall schedule the work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Machine installation/startup and training scheduling must be coordinated with the COR.
6. SPECIFICATIONS: The Lathe Turning Center will meet the specifications and include the options detailed in this document. The contractor needs to meet or exceed all the required features listed in section 1.1 of this statement of work. It is the contractor’s full responsibility to provide any material required to perform the stated requirements under the terms of this statement of work. This product will be installed with the manufacturer’s recommended methods, and the final setup and pre-production test routine must be accomplished by a factory trained technician who is knowledgeable of this specific product to prevent exclusion of manufacturer’s warranty.
7. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF SERVICES: The office having responsibility for inspection and acceptance of work is the COR and the Inside Machine shop foreman.
