| TANK/BILGE - CLEANING | |||||||
| STORAGE TANKS– LIQUID REMOVAL/DISPOSAL | |||||||
| OFFERORS ARE CAUTIONED TO CAREFULLY REVIEW THIS ENTIRE | |||||||
| SOLICITATION BEFORE SUBMITTING PRICES. | |||||||
| Services to be provided include the cleaning of tanks and bilges, removal and disposal | |||||||
| of liquids, Underwater Hull Cleaning, and certification of gas free conditions by a | |||||||
| Certified Marine Chemist (CMC). Certification by other than a CMC is not acceptable. | |||||||
| Services are to be provided for a period of one-year (365 days) from the date on which | |||||||
| the contract is awarded. | |||||||
| SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: | |||||||
| Normal working hours at the U.S. Coast Guard YARD are 7:00am through 3:30pm | |||||||
| E.S.T., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. It is expected that 40% of | |||||||
| the total work will require the successful bidder to provide services outside the normal | |||||||
| working hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. | |||||||
| In addition, the successful offeror may be required to provide the various services | |||||||
| listed within 48 hours after receiving notice from the Contracting Officer. It is expected | |||||||
| that half of the orders issued during the one-year performance period will require the | |||||||
| contractor to arrive at the U.S. Coast Guard YARD and commence work within 48 hours | |||||||
| from the time of contractor’s receipt of notice. In the majority of these cases, the notice | |||||||
| will be given to the contractor orally, and a written order will subsequently be provided. | |||||||
| The 48-hour response time will be computed from the time that the contractor receives | |||||||
| the oral notice. | |||||||
| OFFERORS MUST CONSIDER THESE REQUIREMENTS WHEN COMPUTING | |||||||
| AND SUBMITTING THEIR BID PRICES. | |||||||
| The estimated quantities shown are based on past experience and are approximations | |||||||
| only. They are not intended to limit the U.S. Coast Guard to either a minimum or | |||||||
| maximum quantity per order. They are also not intended to limit the U.S. Coast Guard to | |||||||
| either a minimum or maximum number of orders during the one-year period. | |||||||
| Offerors must complete each column. Prices must be submitted for the base year and | |||||||
| four option years. The proposal evaluation will include option year prices (see Section | |||||||
| IV). Failure to submit a unit price and a total price for each line item may result in the | |||||||
| rejection of your bid in its entirety. | |||||||
