Questions and Answers

Q1) Does this container need to be stackable, either full or empty?

A1) Yes. The LLRC shall be stackable (2 high) in both full or empty mode.

Q2) SOW par 3.1.1.3 states that the container must capable of "modification to adapt the reusable container for shipment of items other than for which it was originally intended." This would indicate the engine mounting structures must be removable. Are there other container features that would need to be removable?

A2) No. There are no other LLRC features that should be removable during normal, operational use. In the case of drain plugs, refer to SOW section 6.0, af.

Q3) SOW Par 3.1.1.4 Is there a container life design requirement?

A3) The container life requirement should be as specified in MIL-STD-2073-1, Paragraph 3.13, Reusable Container, Subparagraph a. Long Life Container (100 trips minimum), but MIL-STD-2073-1 is not one of the MIL-STDs specified in SAE ARP1967A. Therefore, SOW section 6, ay, has been modified.
