About this file

This document is a Baseline Model Contract Addendum outlining supplemental contract clauses for different funding thresholds in a federal grant opportunity from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Biological Technologies Office. The contract addendum specifies additional required clauses for contracts exceeding specific dollar amounts, ranging from $2M to $15M, which become cumulative as contract values increase.

The related federal grant opportunity focuses on biological technologies research, specifically seeking proposals that leverage biological properties and processes to protect national warfighters. The opportunity is part of DARPA's Research and Technology Development program (CFDA 12.910), which supports innovative, high-risk research across scientific and technological domains. The funding will be executed through cooperative agreements and procurement contracts, targeting revolutionary approaches that advance defense capabilities, with an explicit exclusion of research producing only incremental technological improvements.
