Source Selection Information – See FAR 2.101 and 3.104 HR001117S0040 DSO Office-wide BAA Attachment 2 Executive Summary Template
Use of this template is mandatory for all executive summary submissions to this BAA. This document must include all components described herein and must be submitted in .pdf, .odx, .doc, or .docx formats. All submissions must be written in English and all pages shall be formatted for printing on 8-1/2 by 11-inch paper with 1-inch margins and font size not smaller than 12 point. Font sizes of 8 or 10 point may be used for figures, tables, and charts.
Executive summaries shall not exceed a maximum of 2 pages (1 page cover sheet + 1 page technical description).

Executive Summary Technical Description
[Provide a synopsis of the proposed project by succinctly conveying its main objective, key innovations, expected impact, and other unique aspects.] [Please briefly answer the following questions, limiting your total response to one page.]
1. What are you trying to do? Articulate your objectives using absolutely no jargon.
2. How is it done today, and what are the limits of current practice?
3. What is new in your approach, and why do you think it will be successful?
4. Who cares? If you are successful, what difference will it make? Address advantages to the military mission.
5. What are the risks?
6. Who are you, and what capabilities make you uniquely qualified to pursue this research?
