Questions to Digtal Portrait #HQ0034-17-R-0134

*How do you want the contractor to estimate restoration, per restoration or total hours?

It is up to the contractor on how to estimate restoration costs based on paragraph 1.4.2. Historic Photograph Restoration in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

*What is the standards for matting and framing materials? Are certain materials required, and can I have that information for quoting purposes?

Refer to paragraph 1.4.2. Historic Photograph Restoration in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). A photo of an already-restored and framed photograph can be provided, if necessary, or interested vendors are welcome to come to the courthouse to see it.

*Is the estimate for time only and materials are separate otherwise? For example a frame could be $4 per foot or $104 per foot. I don't want to end up $50,000 in the hole because gold gilded framed are required!

Refer to paragraph 1.4.2. Historic Photograph Restoration in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

*Is there a yearly quota for amount of restored images that would need to be finished?

We estimate that there will be 1 to 2 photographs annually to be restored, framed and hung.

*Are there dozens, hundreds, or thousands of images that need restoration?

Twenty-seven (27) as per paragraph 1.4.2. Historic Photograph Restoration in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), to be restored and framed, and 29 to be hung at a designated location in the courthouse.

*What is the standard for the photographic prints. Standard print paper, or some type of archival paper?

Standard print paper of sufficient weight for historic photos.

*Who makes the final determination that the restored image is acceptable?

USCAAF.
