Summary of Services
Background: Each year, senior officers from each Service are selected to spend a year in Corporate America at leading edge businesses, i.e. Corporate Sponsors, to observe, participate in, and learn corporate best practices in such areas as, business processes and organizations, utilization of information technology, long-range planning, innovation, and change management that could be implemented to transform DoD. SDCFP Fellows form a cadre of future Service leaders sensitized to the organizational and operational opportunities made possible by the revolutionary changes in information and other technologies. Each incoming group of new Corporate Fellows requires pre-assignment training to educate them on the fundamentals of contemporary business, and the different trends and factors that drive strategic business planning. The facility must be sized to accommodate no less than 24 Corporate Fellows and the SDCFP Director. The type of training and availability of space will determine which location to host the training seminar. Additional performance of the tasks in this PWS may be accomplished at the Contractor location or at the location of a Corporate Sponsor. This will occur on a case-by-case basis and the training locations may change during the performance of this contract. Except in emergency situations, both the Government and the contractor will make an effort to provide at least seven (7) calendar day notices for training location changes Special Qualifications: Officers are specifically selected for SDCFP training as future Service leaders with proven Flag/General Officer potential. To ensure necessary quality and value, Contractor must have prior experience providing relevant and similar Graduate Business School Executive Education to active duty senior military officers.
