About this file
This file is an instructional guide for responding to Quick Quote solicitations on the eVA.virginia.gov platform, which facilitates state and local contract opportunities in Virginia. The document provides step-by-step procedures for vendors who have received solicitation notifications through the Virginia Business Opportunities (VBO) page or daily Leads notifications and wish to submit bids for Quick Quote opportunities. The guide directs respondents to review all available information on the Info and Items tabs, thoroughly examine all attached documents, and contact the buyer with any clarifying questions before proceeding with their response submission.
The response process involves accessing the proposal through the eVA platform, completing Response Information fields including a validity end date and description, attaching any buyer-requested supplier documents such as acknowledgements, references, or licenses, entering unit prices for each item, and validating and submitting the proposal online. The document emphasizes that Quick Quotes are awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and stresses the importance of submitting competitive pricing. Additionally, the guide notes that vendors may save draft proposals in progress and return to complete them at a later time by accessing their draft through the Manage RFx's section, and it reminds bidders to carefully review all terms and conditions set by the buyer and direct all questions to the issuing buyer rather than the eVA platform support.
