Amendment to HM157111T0302: Please see the following questions and answers. The response date has not changed.
1. In regards to the reference RFQ – the attachment with sample sizes calls for a chalk-C89801 mat board it the size of 53x44. However the specified mat board is available in a maximum size of 60x40. Please advise on a appropriate adjustment.
Answer: Any comparable board may be used.
2. In the solicitation the document states that NGA will provide various sizes ranging from 8” to 96”. Do you have the other dimension of the images? We have worked on multiple BPA contracts and it might be best to give the cost common sizes for equal quoting purposes.
Answer: The sample specifications are to be considered the average task, 18”- 48” would cover the average sizes. The specs attached in the “Sample Quote” should be the basis for the bid.
3. The framing requirements are pretty simple, but we would need to get the sizes for the box mounting, face mounting on acrylic (also need to know if you want ¼” thickness or ½”thick acrylic), and mounting on aluminum. Since all these applications are completely different than picture framing application, it might be best to give a range of sizes and approx. quantity per order.
Answer: All box mounting would be for oversize items, larger than 60” for example. Other specs and quantities are speculation at this time.
4. The sample quote shows (3) items. Do you just need a quote on those items per specification? Since the pricing is a LOT different for printing on aluminum (or box mounting etc.), please provide specification specifics for other applications as well. In addition, please advise quantity of these items per order.
Answer: Please provide your quote based on the “Sample Quote” requirements. Each is a quantity of one.
5. I’m writing to see if there is a specific reason why a Northern Virginia GSA contractor is needed and whether you would be willing to make a change / exception.
Answer: The customer requirements define a need for a local vendor. In order to clarify what is included in “Washington Metro area” the following list of cities/counties is provided. Only small businesses within these parameters will be considered for award.
