About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeking industry input on legal services for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC). The RFI poses detailed questions to potential service providers about their capabilities to deliver comprehensive legal representation to UAC across the United States, including tracking direct representation, response time for legal services, and nationwide service delivery.
The RFI specifically requests information on organizations' experience in providing UAC legal services, including recruiting and training attorneys, pro bono support, and a proposed service-based pricing model. The document outlines a comprehensive list of potential legal services to be provided, such as Know Your Rights Presentations, Legal Screenings, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status Applications, Asylum Applications, Visa Applications, Court Preparation Sessions, and representation in immigration courts, DHS proceedings, and ORR agency actions. Respondents are asked to estimate the percentage of UAC population that would require each type of legal service.
