3. The following information details the answers to all RFQ questions submitted by 23 May 2011 for the Thirteen (13) High School Science Procurements posted 21 Apr 2011:

Question 1: Our company will have 2012 copyright text materials ready for submission in time for the text deadline of August 5th. The technology for the 2012 copyright will not be ready until August. Is it possible to provide current program copyright technology which will be similar to meet the June 13th deadline, though improved for 2012, and then to allow us to provide the 2012 technology for the contract to match our 2012 texts?

Answer to 1: Please see revised RFQ Submission Due Dates in this amendment. This question is no longer applicable.

Question 2: Our company has inquiry kits, equipment kits, etc. Does the DoDEA review committee want those provided as samples or a complete listing of kit components? It is noted that lab equipment and consumables will not be purchased in the solicitation but we want to be sure to provide all samples that may benefit the review.

Answer to 2: Please reference the requirements in the Statement of Work.

Question 3: Will the quantity for each option year (1-5) be the same for the student materials?

Answer to 3: We expect the overall student material quantity to be similar; however, for RFQ submission purposes, an overall variance of 10% for student material quantities is possible for the option years.

Question 4: How should I calculate the number of teachers for the option years?

Answer to 4: We expect the overall teacher quantity to be similar; however, for RFQ submission purposes, an overall variance of 10% for teacher quantities is possible for the option years.

Question 5: Regarding the online ordering system, can a prototype be provided for the June 27th deadline showing our company’s current e-commerce capabilities plus a prototype of enhancements for the DoDEA on-line order site?

Answer for 5: Yes

Question 6: A tutorial DVD to train DoDEA personnel for use of the Vendor Online Ordering system is requested. How much of a “finished product” DoDEA training DVD is required before an award is made and actual CLINs/ material codes are loaded into the order system and the system is fully completed for use? We can provide an example of a current customer training video to support on-line gratis order process.

Answer for 6: A current customer training video is sufficient.

Question 7: This is the first time I have handled a DoDEA bid and I see in a past example I have that there is a Standard Form 1449. I do not see this form in the RFQ I have (HE125420112010051) although I do see a reference to it. Does this form need to be submitted with the RFP? If so, where can I get it?

Answer for 7: No. The SF 1449 was used for this RFQ. However, all contracts will be executed on SF 1449s.

Question 8: Do the IT components due June 13 have to be labeled?

Answer for 8: All individual IT components, as well as the box that includes the individual components, must be labeled in accordance with the instructions given in the RFQ, Special Note to Vendors Regarding Quotes, a. Information Technology (IT) Components Information and Closing Date.

Question 9: This is about the references since the form in itself original format is unusable . School districts cannot use this form since most do not have contract numbers, most do not have an exact amount that they purchased, most do not have PCO, COR and ACO. This form is obviously written for government contract that are not textbooks or to school districts. Can we alter or do we just try to put in the information that would be appropriate to a school district?

Answer for 9: Relative to the Past Performance Forms included as attachments to the RFQs, all vendors are instructed to fill in the information that is appropriate for past work performed relative to these RFQs.
