Question # Question Answer

What technology did you purchase recently for music education (mentioned in paragraph

1.2.2 on page 36)?

DoDEA does not have a music assessment tool at this time. Please note that 1.2.2 speaks of the adoption of standards only.

Can we have another copy of the short 2 page document (FPO posting confirmation), or at least a copy of the files that you link to in that document? The pdf file's links are not working for us when we try and click on them via the pdf

RFQ (HE125419Q0007) can be found at FBO Website https://www.fbo.gov/

Do you anticipate delivering a fundamentally different solution for grades 3‐6 than for grades 7‐12, or do you foresee both as having essentially the same functionality?

The overall features of the 3‐6 solution will be similar. However, the 7‐

12 solution shoulld be robust and all inclusive.

Which band/orchestral methods do you support within DoDEA? Do you have a preference, or is it up to the teachers in question?

Currently, Sound Innovations for Band, Essential Elements for Strings, and Voices in Concert for Choir are the method books in use by DoDEA

Music. However, the band, strings, and choir method books that will be used in the future has not yet been determined; so, this may change.

There is currently no standard method for guitar, piano, or jazz ensemble that is utilized system wide.

Can you supply a breakdown of the disciplines taught by the 1296 teachers (i.e. how many are band, how many are orchestra, chorus, guitar and piano)?

There a total of 216 music teachers that teach a variety of music classes, which includes band. Jazz band, choir, strings, general music, piano, guitar, music theory. And music appreciation.

In terms of the students seat numbers mentioned: do you anticipate each and every student receiving their own dedicated log in, and are the numbers consistent for all 5 years (i.e. do you need a total of 178,296 combined teacher/student seats each and every year)?

That many logins per year exceeds the number of students and teachers significantly. Each year DoDEA expects to have approximately

29,500 student logins and 216 teacher logins. The numbers may vary slightly over the duration of the contract.

Do you anticipate the winner bidder/company creating separate URLs/sites for each school that is participating (with a mixture of band/chorus/orchestra/piano/guitar students in each), or do you anticipate a breakdown of sites by discipline (i.e. a band site, an orchestral site, a choral site, a guitar site and a piano site), or thirdly, do you anticipate a breakdown of sites by each teacher (1,296 sites)?

The breakdown of sites is up to the vendor. There are approximately

216 teachers.

What specifically from the 41 page doc needs to accompany submission?

‐ SF1449 should be included, is it only 30a, b and c that need completed?

‐ We are current with SAM with listing for Representations and Certifications. Per section

B we do not need further submission in this area correct?

‐ CLIN section page 4. Can you explain what needs to be filled out. Is the top section simply the contract price times units for orders and the bottom the same except referencing what we will fulfill?

‐ Are we missing anything else from this document for submission?

‐ Can we edit any of the terms to this document, as they are terms of purchase contract if accepted?

Please see addendum to FAR 52.212‐1 (Instructions to offerors) page for documents submissions. SF1449 needs to be signed (Block 30 a, b, and c).

Attachment 3‐Terms of Use. Does the section, User Obligations preclude a user (Teacher engaging students) from providing consent for students invited to join and use the program? Can this section be edited?

Yes, you may edit accordingly.

Attachment 1 ‐ Cloud Questionnaire It appears that the downloaded version has been completed. Is it possible that this from another vendor or is this simply provided as example? If needed can you please forward a new copy?

It was provided as a sample. New copy is attached.

Attachment 2 ‐ GPAT Section 1194.21 Software Applications is marked "Yes" for various applicable provisions. However our product is web based and the following series of provisions in Section 1194.22 Web based Applications applies directly. Can we omit

1194.21?

Instead of omitting 1194.21 you may check X "Not" column under

"Total Number of Supported Provisions" and state that your product is

Web based only under "Please explain" column.
