About this file
This document is a Change Order Notice issued by the Chief Procurement Office, General Services of the state of Illinois. It details an increase of $64,052 to a contract for the replacement of a heat exchanger and water heater at the McFarland facility. The increase is necessary because the original contract was not executed within the quoted timeframe, resulting in a price increase from the manufacturer. The change order is being posted in accordance with Illinois procurement regulations requiring notice of renegotiated contracts and change orders that increase the cost by more than $10,000.
The original contract, identified as BBREFNO. B-15185, was for the McFarland Heat Exchanger Increase project under the Department of Human Services. The change order indicates that the circumstances necessitating the increase were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the original contract was signed, and that the change is germane to the original contract.
