Contractor is to supply all supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment to furnish and install store shelving, according to the requirements of solicitation HDEC04-09-R-0012 and detailed herein and in the store layout, page 2 to this Attachment. A representative of the contractor, acting as Project Manager, will be on the jobsite at all times. All work to be coordinated with the DeCA on-site Reset Coordinator.

Installation/deinstallation must take place only during the time frames stated above. The contractor is responsible for deinstallation of the old shelving, after removal of product by the government. Old shelving to be stacked and banded and stored at the site for pickup, in an area designated by the Store Director. The contractor is not responsible for removal of the old shelving from the site.

The gondolas in the center area of the store are a top priority and will be completed by 6:00 a.m. August 10, 2009. Walls and end caps are to be installed only after the center area is completed unless otherwise directed by the Reset Coordinator on site. Installers are to install/deinstall Eight 88 foot (78 inch high) gondola runs, two 88 foot sections of wall gondola (78 inch high) (pin to wall). In the alcove section, install two 16 foot and one 24 foot section for canopy lighting one side (90 inch high) according to the floor plan. Install/pin shelving to wall using accepted commercial practices suitable for the items to be stocked. Install/deinstall sloped front end caps and contoured end displays as stated on the floor plan. The floor plan also specifies areas to install heavy duty base and upper shelves. Nine column kits are required to be cut and installed. At the time of shelving installation, the Reset Coordinator will indicate locations for installation of load levelers according to the new planogram.

The Project Manager is required to be at the job site 24 hours prior to the start of the installation to meet with the Reset Coordinator to preplan logistics and any unique issues. This will include staging of materials, and checking for damages and shortages. The materials are to be shipped to the site at least one week prior to the installation date. The contractor is responsible to receive, inspect, and accept all shipments, and arrange with the Store Director for proper storage at the site. The Project Manager will, at this time, physically inventory the materials to ensure that there are no shortages.

The Project Manager will remain on site until 4:00 p.m. August 11, 2009 to assist with the final installation. The primary job at this time will be to adjust level and secure shelving to prevent shelves from leaning and buckling once merchandise has been stocked on shelves. The Reset Coordinator will ensure that work has been satisfactorily completed and will perform a walk through inspection of the project and complete the contractor’s evaluation sheet.
