HHS Coordination Operations Response Element (H-CORE) is responsible for maintaining and deploying the vaccines, ancillary kits, testing supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) needed during a public health response. During a public health emergency, federal supplies of ancillary kits, testing supplies and PPE may need to be distributed and dispensed to vaccine administration sites throughout the country. Currently, distribution and dispensing/administration of, ancillary kits, testing supplies and PPE from H-CORE relies on the public health system (state and local health departments) along with partnerships to store and distribute the ancillary goods.
