1. Are there any updated plumbing drawings?

Current drawings showing location of chilled water lines were used to develop the concept drawings.

2. Please confirm that specification for In Row units is single fed 480V 3P.

Requirement is dual feed capable 480V 3P, however only single feed shall be connected.

3. Please confirm all penetrations, cabling, waterlines, etc. will be needed to meet SCIF standards e.g. have electrical discontinuities installed?

Waterlines accessed shall be within room 113A, no additional penetrations / SCIF related connections are required.

Power cable shall utilize existing penetrations. Installation of cable through the existing penetration shall meet SCIF standards.

4. Please confirm that the only electrical and mechanical work under the PWS is to be done in Room 113A Electrical work is in room 113A and 136, Mechanical work is only in 113A.

5. Is preferred routing of power overhead or in the sub-floor plenum?

Preferred routing is in the sub-floor plenum.

6. Are sub-floor plenum baffles to be placed by contractor or Government?

No sub-floor plenum baffles are included in the project. All baffles are rack-top.

7. Rack G088 is a switch rack exhausting hot air from the front of the rack enclosure. Is any remediation required for this and similar racks?

We are aware some racks have exhaust in the cold aisle and are working to get this corrected. Remediation is not the responsibility of this contract, but the baffles for these racks are still required.

8. Request CAD drawings of the room(s) if available.

CAD drawings for the project will be available to the awarded contractor.

9. Racks will need to be relocated in some instances. Is the contractor tasked with moving the racks or will DISA personnel be tasked with moving them?

Racks relocated for the purpose of aisle containment installation shall be moved by the contractor as long as all communication, power, and ground connections are not installed.

Coordination with DISA is required for the movement of all other racks.

10. Believe up to two teams can be escorted in Room 113 and 125 due to lower security requirements.

The number of teams escorted is based on available escorts, not room security levels. It may be possible to escort multiple teams, however this depends on site activities and is not guaranteed.

11. Two existing racks will need to be removed to place InRow units. Question, who will be responsible for moving racks?

Existing racks and gap panels in room 113A which require removal/relocation to permit the installation of IRCs will be performed by site personnel.

12. Where can our installers drill floor panels for the installation of the adjustable mounting posts and how far from the server rooms will this approved area be located?

A location outside the computer room will be designated for drilling the floor panels.

Empty equipment (no power, communication, ground connection) may be shifted by the contractor to remove a floor panel.

Connected equipment (power, communication, and/or ground connection in place) may only be shifted by site personnel to attempt removal of the floor panel.

Only when floor panels cannot be removed, it is permitted to install the mounting post in the computer room with simultaneous use of a contractor provided HEPA filter equipped vacuum.

13. Who is responsible for moving/relocating server cabinets that are not currently in position to receive the containment materials?

Racks fully disconnected from data, power, and ground shall be moved by the contractor. Coordinate the movement of racks not fully disconnected with DISA POC/COR.

14. Where will containment materials be stored prior to installation and how far from the server rooms is the storage area?

Pallets shall be staged by the site in the computer rooms. Some pallets may have materials for multiple rooms, and can be relocated by the contractor when required. There is a double door route available between 113 and 125 for movement of pallets.

15. Is there adequate space in the designated storage area to unpack materials?

Yes, it is acceptable to unpack in the computer room, pallets can be moved as needed to accommodate space to unpack materials.

Note, the site does recycle cardboard and can coordinate pick-up of recycle packing materials as aisle containment components are unpacked and the recycle bin is filled. The recycle bin can be placed near the unpacking location to ease logistics of unpacking and recycling.

16. Will suitable recycling and trash containers be provided to recycle/dispose of containment packing materials, including carboard, plastic, wooden pallets…etc?

Coordination with the site to obtain pick-up of the recycle bin will be required.

Wooden pallets are placed outside on the dock for removal by the site.

Plastic and other trash shall be removed by the contractor.

17. How many escorts will be provided for the installation of the containment in non-secured areas?

1 escort is planned for the work, however this does not include the 113A work. 2 escorts will be available when work is also performed inside 113A. Additional non-113A escorts may be available, however this shall be coordinated in advance and is not guaranteed.

18. What is the delivery address for shipment of the containment materials and what requirements exist for materials to be received without delay or refusal?

Delivery address will be provided after award. Addressee, including any company name, is required in advance to ensure the warehouse is aware of the delivery and it is not refused. For proposal budget purposes, the facility or DSCC address can be used.

19. Is there a preferred freight or shipping account that can be used to expedite and streamline the shipping and receiving process?

No

20. Is a standard height loading dock available to receive the shipment and is personnel available to unload the materials from the delivery truck?

Yes.

21. Are there any limitations to the size of the delivery truck required to access the loading dock?

No.

22. Can we get a more detailed set of plumbing drawings? all we have is the one drawing M-101.

Yes. What additional detail is requested? Is this required for proposal or after award?

23. Are we going to be responsible for providing the Pressure testing on the existing Chilled Water systems before and after our Scope?

No. Pressure testing is for the new work only.

24. Can we get a detailed spec for the testing requirements and the valve sizes/types?

Pressure testing is for new work only. The valve sizes/types are for valves installed by this project.

25. The drawings say Pex piping is acceptable, will we be able to use pre insulated Pex for the IRC branches and Stainless flex lines at the IRC connection points?

Yes, however the IRC connection points need to consider potential dissimilar metals and the insulation shall be color coded per the PWS / DISA labeling standard.

26. Who is responsible for the Controls Integration and Programming of the new IRCs?

The IRCs shall be compatible with our BAS, however this project does not connect the IRCs to the BAS. All controls shall be internal to the IRCs. IRCs should be pre-programmed by the manufacturer as stand-alone units.

27. Can the DISA provide us with pictures of the wall space under the floor for the proposed line set routes? We would also like pictures of the existing headers where our new headers will be added if possible.

Assume this is related to the picture request in question 28. If pictures provided do not cover all requested locations, please request additional pictures.

28. Requesting photos (in camera direction) as noted on Sht. M-101 and E-100? PWS Appendix A - Concept Drawings.PDF. M-101 & E-100.
