There are no preferred rack widths.
2.
What is the floor height of the DC?
The floor master plan with preinstalled cable conveyance limits rack height to 78.4 inches.
3.
Is there a cabinet/ row quantity limitation?
Yes, however, we will provide sufficient space for vendor equipment.
4.
Do the rack/cab PDUs need to be manageable?
Vendor will need to be able to manage the power for their workload. DISA will manage the power at the PDU level.
5.
Is there is size restrictions or recommendation for cabinet width?
There is no size restriction for cabinet width.
6.
Can the vendor get a remote access view to the BASL system, specifically the data points associated with location of the vendor equipment for environmental monitoring?
We do not allow third party access to DoD BAS.
7.
Who provides the cabling for the racks? DISA or the contractor?
The connection to the DODIN is DISA responsibility. Cabling within or between the racks is the contractor’s responsibility.
8.
What is the specific demarcation point between work the contractor installs and maintains vs what DISA installs and maintains? Ex. Who provides additional floor tiles, cabling, racks, and cable looming, etc?
Rack is the responsibility Cabling (see #7) Floor tiles and vendor specified cut outs are provided by DISA
9.
When are the Q&A's from the draft going to be released? Prior to Final or addressed within the Final?
Responses will be released as soon as possible, and those that could not be answered will be addressed in the Final RFP release.
10.
Has the government considered creating two separate contracts: one for the IAAS and one for the technical engineering services?
Final acquisition strategy will be outlined in the Final RFP.
11.
What is the power capacity of the proposed site?
Reserved 150kw. If additional power is needed, please give us specific requirements.
12.
What is the capacity in pounds of the freight elevators?
DECC Montgomery freight elevator capacity is 16,000 lbs.
DECC Oklahoma City is only on one floor. No elevator is required.
13.
What is impact to cost to bidders who may desire/require high density compute i.e. 24kw or more per rack
Overall solution is expected to fit into the reserved 150 kw, however, if vendor solution requires high density racks greater than 6 kw then additional coordination with DISA will be required.
14.
Raised floor depth? Per data center
Not applicable.
15.
Does DISA have a requirement for archive of data disk, tape, other?
Recovery time and recovery point objectives?
Will be outlined in the PWS.
17.
Is a staging area available for unboxing HW?

Recommend 60 days submission timeline for responses?
The Government will take this into consideration.
21.
Can DISA provide the floor space allocated for the initial deployment of the Milcloud 2.0?
1500 square feet per site.
22.
Can DISA provide the annual growth rate of the compute capacity and storage for Milcloud 2.0?
No, however, the contract allows for significant growth.
23.
Can DISA provide the details of the small, medium and large VM sizes?
Dependent on the vendor solution.
24.
Can DISA provide the data center for DR capability?
Two sites have been identified for this effort. DECC Montgomery, and DECC Oklahoma City.
25.
Will both primary and DR data centers have active workloads?
Both sites will have active workloads.
26.
What bandwidths will be available between primary and DR data centers?
Will be provided in the PWS.
27.
Is DISA considering availability zones for the data centers such as in Montgomery Data Center?
A comparable zone will be available in DECC Oklahoma City.
28.
Does DISA have any hardware standards for the Milcloud 2.0?
Cloud Service Providers decision.
29.
Can DISA provide the application characteristics of the target applications to be deployed in Milcloud 2.0?
We will provide characteristics for the IOC candidate applications. After IOC remaining applications will be identified at the task order level.
30.
What is the final requirement? Want to ensure this phase is scalable to meet future growth.
Scale up based on growth.
31.
During the survey, “zones” were referenced. What comprises a zone? How many zones will be used per phase?
Zones are defined by the number of racks paired with its PDU’s and Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH). The number of zones will be determined by vendor solution.
32.
The NIPR will be deployed first, then SIPR. How are these to be separated physically/logically?
They will be separated physically.
