Statement of Objectives
Fitness center Youth Playground – Bldg. 588
1. Overview transforming our Racquetball space into an immersive one (1) level experiences that activates the youth, brings a wow to the adult audience, and delivering a lasting impression and satisfying result for all involved. Install designs to elevate the customer experience by creating innovative and proven entertainment that will differentiate
Hollman AFB from other AFB Fitness center, attract customers, and increase visit frequency.
2. Requirements
The contractor shall design/install spaces and seating that can withstand kid play, utilize materials designed and engineered for ultra-tough and long-lasting performance to not corrode and degrade for multiple years, are safe experiences and install rubber playground flooring built to withstand as a high-traffic environment. Contactor is responsible to build new playground in court space allotted below.

specifications needed – Holloman AFB Fitness Center is seeking proposals for year-round play, target age groups of 2 – 10. This new playground will give children the space to develop their social, active and imagination skills. The playground design should feature a variety of sensory play experiences/activities such as slides, play panels, crawl tubes, log roll, sky wheel, hover ring, kid conveyor, math bead panel, mirror panel, piano panel, etc. with a design flow that keeps the kids moving thru the multi panel/feature playground.
The playground should accommodate 50 children, with a footprint of 16’ x 30’ and a height of no more than 9”. The playground feature components should ideally be on the first level with easy access for adults. The playground must meet ASTM 1918-12
Standards, and all ADA Accessibility Standards. installation of youth playground will use American made products that meet industry standard quality, safety and environmental standards including IOS 9001-200, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ASTM
1948. with all active apparatuses being wrapped with vinyl and Foam utilizing netting for safety, ground surface tiles will be PIP material, with all metal piping wrapped in foam and vinyl and anchored to the foundation.
3. Work Requirements
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work, included signage and posting of signage restricting access to applicable areas.
The Contractor will be responsible for delivery, offloading, installation of playground.
The Contractor shall install, prepare, lay surface gymnasium rubber floor tile over current maple wood flooring.
Needed materials can be stored on site, inside fitness center courts/garage area for entirety of Install job.
All black vented cove base, outside molded corners, ramps, and thresholds to remain in place or be reinstall after completion.
The Contractor shall vacuum, clean and remove all debris at the end of work and use some form of (DCS) Dust Containment System to remove excess.
All debris shall be removed from fitness center and loaded into dumpster for disposal.
The Contractor shall not dispense or transport any alcoholic beverages, narcotics, dangerous drugs, or other controlled substances to the patrons.
In the event of severe weather condition, notification of postponement to the
Contractor will be at least three (3) hours prior to work time.
Fitness and Sports Staff will be responsible for removing any equipment in the racquetball court space prior to install.
