About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Naval Special Warfare vehicle wrap and installation contract. The opportunity involves wrapping two vehicles - a 2019 Ford F-350 (single rear wheel) and a 2021 Chevy Suburban - for command promotion at outreach events. The Q&A covers critical logistical details, including vehicle transportation, artwork provision, and installation parameters. Key points include that NSW (Naval Special Warfare) personnel will transport the vehicles, provide graphics and logos prior to installation, and are flexible about wrap location (either on-base or at the contractor's facility in Virginia Beach, VA). The working hours for potential on-base installation are 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and the wrap is to feature a matte finish on the body with gloss or reflective elements for other sections. Graphic files and vehicle pictures are available upon email request, and the contractor is expected to work closely with NSW to ensure proper logo scaling and wrap execution.

VEHICLE WRAP AND INSTALLATION: Q&A
1. Would you like the vehicle to be transported to our shop for the work, or would you prefer the wrap to be completed onsite? If transportation to our shop is preferred, could you please advise how you would like the vehicle to be transported (driven, towed, or via third-party service)?
If transportation to an off-site location is recommended, NSW personnel will drive the vehicles.
2. Is the 2019 Ford F-350 is a dually-model or a single rear wheel?
Single Rear Wheel
3. Will the customer be providing print-ready artwork?
Yes, NSW will be providing the graphics prior to installation.
4. Will the Navy be transporting the vehicles to the shop where they will be wrapped, or will that be our responsibility?
If transportation to an off-site location is recommended, NSW personnel will transport the vehicles.
5. Will the vehicles be delivered to the site where they will be worked at? Otherwise, will the contractor be picking up the vehicle from where they are?
The vehicles will be delivered to an off-site location if that is the contractor’s recommendation. They will not be responsible for picking up the vehicles from their current location.
6. Are there any photos of the vehicles? We can get templates, but we would need to make sure they match the vehicle.
Pictures are available upon email request.
7. Would you be bringing both vehicles to the vendor location for the wrap? Or would we be coming to you?
The customer is open to either option – they are able to transport the vehicles to an off-site location or make accommodations for the work to occur on base. They will take the vendor’s recommendation to ensure the best outcome.
8. Do you have the files of each logo that we could look at? We'd need to see these to make sure files scale correctly to each vehicle.
Yes. Pictures and graphics are available upon email request.
9. The 2019 F350 has multiple versions. A photo would help us make sure we have the correct bed length and cab type to quote.
Pictures of the vehicles are available upon email request.
10. Will the government be furnishing the NAVY, SEAL, and SWCC logos/artwork for the wraps? If so, at what point in the contract process will that artwork be provided (e.g., upon award, during kickoff, etc.)?
Pictures will be provided prior to wrap and installation of the vehicles.
11. Could you provide us with the design or artwork files (graphics) intended for the vehicle wraps?
Yes, the design and graphics will be provided.
12. Can the vehicle wrapping be completed on base at your facility? If so, what are the working hours?
It can be conducted on-site if the contractor is able to get on base. The working hours are 8:00AM – 3:00PM.
13. If on-base wrapping is not permitted, how will transportation be coordinated? If on-base wrapping is not permitted, how will transportation be coordinated?
NSW can drive out to the contractor’s location if needed.
14. We are requesting the vector files (.AI, .EPS, or .SVG) for each logo. Are you able to provide these files or the guidance on where to obtain them?
Files will be provided. Pictures are available upon email request.
15. I see that it is requesting a matte finish for the body of the vehicle, and the rest is in gloss or reflective, am I assuming correctly?
Please see Attachment 1 – Product Description (pages 3-5) for illustrations. More graphics are available upon email request.
16. Will the 2019 Ford F350 and 2021 Chevy Suburban be delivered by the government to the contractor’s installation location in Virginia Beach, VA, or will the contractor be responsible for retrieving the vehicles from a designated government facility?
Can be driven by NSW personnel if needed. Will take contractor’s recommendation to ensure best outcome of prescribed wrap.
