STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
Purchase and Installation of Storage Equipment
1.0 OBJECTIVE: To install storage cages, personnel cages and pallet storage rack in BLDG 3841.
2.0 BACKGROUND: Need additional storage space within the existing high bay, and locker room area of Building 3841 respectively. Existing building configuration does not support adequate storage space for ST-2 headquarters, and enablers/augments. The additional gear cages will allow for organic and augmentees of ST-2 to have a secure gear storage location, for accountability of personal operational load outs. The addition of the storage cages and pallet storage rack will allow for indoor and secure storage of sensitive equipment and prevent the loss of operational equipment. The present design of BLDG 3841 is currently insufficient to support potential future expansion as operational requirements change per Immediate Superior in Command (ISIC) or Higher Headquarter promulgation. The addition of above described storage spaces allows for fully manned (pre-deployment levels ~300 personnel [216 organic/~84 augments]) SEAL Team to properly stow and secure all operational equipment.
3.0 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and disposal necessary to provide and install, storage cages, personnel cages, and pallet storage rack. All storage caging, personnel caging, and pallet storage rack must match exactly to existing installations to maintain a professional appearance.
3.1 General Descriptions: All work shall be performed to the highest standards of the trade and shall conform to all codes governing that trade. All work performed shall be within all requirements of the State of Virginia and local codes. The work will be conducted so as to avoid damage to other property or equipment in the area. All damage thereto shall be made good by the contractor at his own expense.

3.2.2 The pallet storage rack deck should be of open design with 42 galvanized structural steel I-beams installed above the deck to allow for forklift accessible storage of 463L aircraft pallets and ISUs. 14 pallet positions will be created. The rack shall match the existing deck height (15ft-4in) as the second floor and catwalks exits.
3.2.3 The contractor must ensure the column spacing is specific in the 153ft direction with 11ft spans in 14ft-6in directions to accommodate the eight (8) existing platoon high bay doors.

3.2.5 The contractor shall install seven (7) 11ft x 11ft x 14ft high, four walled with cage top panel, free standing cages directly underneath the pallet storage rack.
3.2.5.1 Each cage must come with a paired hinged gate with a padlock hasp. Each cage gate shall be 5ft wide x 11ft high providing an approximate 11’ high opening.

Post base plates are to be a minimum of 4in x 7-1/2in x 1/4in steel flat stock and welded to posts for more of a secure floor connection. Standard 2in x 7in base plates are not acceptable due to cage height.
3.2.5.5 The contractor also must mount a pair of Galvanized structural steel I-beams to surface mount to the floors of each cage (total 14 I-beams).
3.2.5.6 Each cage must be outfitted with one (1) pair to allow the loading/unloading of 463L aircraft pallets. I-beams must be rated to support loads up to 10K pounds.
3.2.5.7 The contractor must install two (2) upper Bulk Rack 60in wide x 24in diameter x 96in high shelves in each cage. The shelf must withstand the load capacity of 1200 pounds. Each cage and shelves must be applied with finished two phase phosphate wash and Gray polyester powder coat.
