The calibration cart to be upgraded is located in at Tinker AFB. It is nonfunctional and is currently being used for spare parts for the in-use cart that moves as needed. When fully functional, the calibration carts had the capability to calibrate all measuring devices installed on all AFATS test stands (including electronics, pressure sensors, flowmeters, etc.) in-place without requiring their removal from the test stand or use of alternate external calibrators. The current configuration for the in-use cart is only capable of calibrating electrical signals and flow measurements, with all other calibrations being performed using external calibration standards. The cart calibrates the stand components in-place via a set of externally calibrated flowmeters (cascaded to allow for calibration of multiple flow ranges) and electrical calibration standards installed on the calibration cart that are calibrated separately and provide comparison to values generated by the test stand measuring devices. The calibration carts connect to and receive test fluid/electrical supply from the test stand via paired Staubli Plates.
