About this file
This document provides instructions for creating and using a GSA Affiliated Customer Account (GACA) for secure sharing with GSA and non-GSA.gov accounts. The guidelines specify different requirements for workers based on their organizational affiliation: those from Google-using government agencies need no GACA account, while workers from non-Google government agencies or GSA business partners must use a GACA account. The document strictly prohibits sharing with employees or contractors without a gsa.gov email, new employees awaiting a gsa.gov email, or through personal Gmail accounts.
To create a GACA, users must follow a specific process: create a Gmail account with a username starting with "GSA." followed by their name, accept the Terms of Service, and set up two-step verification using a smartphone. The instructions emphasize security protocols and provide a link to a May 2017 instructional letter for additional reference, ensuring proper account creation and usage for secure information sharing within GSA-affiliated organizations.
