A. The correct symbol is MS
(motion sensor). The M is a typo.
18. Q. On the drawing there are half shown areas, and some half shown fixtures and devices, without any cutoff lines. E.g. for those suites not indicated in project identification and
Background & project description on Scope of work. Clarify the work scope.
A. The scope of work is limited to the areas identified in the scope.
19. Q. Please provide specification of floor service modules.

22. Q. If we are relocating floor service modules, are we providing new cables?
A. Existing FSM electrical cables shall remain. Existing Cat 5 cables for voice and data shall be replaced with Cat 6 cables for voice and data in the FSM.
23. Q. For those floor service modules with E symbol, there are different symbol such as ‘xx-xxxxx, 1-xxxx’.
What is the meaning of those symbols?
A. All floor service modules are existing and should be considered to have an “E” designation. The xx-xxxx is a template for the floor service module labeling.

33. Q. During the 9/25 site walk, it was indicated there would be no work on suite entry doors included in this project. The doors Scope
Item #5 on Page 5 of 8 indicates two non-standard corridor doors are to be replaced with bronze suite entry doors. Suite 2840 and

the term square being referenced in Floor
Coverings
35. Q. The RFP information supplied does not provide existing HVAC system design details and drawings. The HVAC section specification includes the following language – “Balance
HVAC system to align with new pace plan and to maintain building standard of 75 degrees.” GSA should make available HVAC as-built drawings and a recent baseline air flow (main branch and secondary ducts) and a temperature study to overhead diffusers allowing contractors to determine if the HVAC system is performing adequately at present. As-built drawings should indicate whether the system ductwork is damper controlled or simply air ducts sized to provide a certain airflow to diffuser discharge points. This information will allow
HVAC professionals to assess potential required changes or rebalancing work.
A. Contractor shall take initial air flow readings and rebalance the existing terminals to meet the new space plan layout. BLS has no intension to modify the existing ductwork. Contractor shall provide new diffusers and return grills to be installed in locations to meet the new layout.
36. Q. Clarification would be beneficial to Offerors on the proposal submittal process. Standard Form
1442 is silent on whether
Offeror proposal hard copies must be delivered or if submission of the
Offeror’s electronic proposal version alone is sufficient if sent to
Adrienn.smith@gsa.gov. If hard copies are required to be delivered September 20, 2016, how many hard copies must be submitted and to which physical address must they be delivered?
A. All proposals (including SF
1442) must be submitted electronically via email to adrienne.smith@gsa.gov.
37. Q. Our estimating team has checked the floor space to be renovated. Drawings and specs refer to the SOW including renovation of approximately 47,000
SF. However, work by our estimators checked by three different individuals produced the renovation measures approximately
72,000 SF. This will nearly double the $1-$5M Govt.
estimate.
The approximate 47,000 SF number is incorrect. However, the drawings provided as part of this solicitation are accurate and therefore, the Government’s estimate will remain unchanged.
The correct approximate SF is
71,000. A revised SOW reflecting the correct approximate SF will be included with Amendment #2 and distributed via FBO.
