About this file

This document is a Definition of Contract Line Items (CLIN) for a National Park Service project at Grand Canyon National Park to rehabilitate North Rim utility infrastructure. The project consists of 12 primary contract line items covering multiple infrastructure components, including pipelines, water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, power distribution systems, and utility collection systems across different areas of the North Rim.

Key work elements include installing approximately 18,700 feet of water pipelines using directional drilling techniques, constructing a new 100 gpm North Rim Water Treatment Plant with two 150,000-gallon raw water tanks, rehabilitating the existing North Rim Wastewater Treatment Plant with a membrane bioreactor process, replacing sanitary sewer piping across four regions totaling approximately 14,547 linear feet, and implementing power distribution upgrades involving transformer replacements, new power lines, and a solar power installation at Cottonwood Campground. The contract uses a lump sum pricing model with measurement based on percent completion for most line items, and includes detailed contingency provisions for various potential subsurface drilling complications.
