Grants.gov Instructions DE-FOA-0003077.docx

This document provides instructions for completing the grant application package related to the U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (DOE NETL) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) titled "Regional Scale Collaboration to Facilitate a Domestic Critical Minerals Future: Carbon Ore, Rare Earth, and Critical Minerals (CORE-CM) Initiative" with FOA number DE-FOA-0003077.

The FOA aims to provide a regional-scale understanding of critical minerals prospectivity and insight into potential materials that may be sourced from domestic secondary and unconventional feedstocks across the United States. The planned research and development will contribute to developing a framework that addresses economic and supply chain barriers, leads to pilot-scale demonstrations, and broadens the scope to include advanced carbon or critical mineral-bearing material products. The funding instrument is a Cooperative Agreement, and the Applicant Types are unrestricted. The FOA is assigned to the Fossil Energy Research and Development program (CFDA 81.089) under the DOE Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management.
