About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity related to providing crane rental services with operator support for the replacement of cab glass windows on an Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in Gulfport, Mississippi.

The SOW specifies the scope of work, which includes providing a mobile crane capable of lifting the 12-foot tall cab glass units weighing up to 4,000 pounds from ground level to the ATCT cab, located approximately 121 feet above ground level. The period of performance is from December 4 through December 13, 2024, with 64 hours of regular time and 16 hours of overtime over 10 consecutive days, plus 10 hours each on a Saturday and Sunday. The crane vendor must provide a lift plan with CAD drawings, documentation on the crane's capabilities, and perform a site visit. The FAA will inspect the work and accept the services upon completion.

The related federal contract opportunity is a market survey being conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all business sizes, including small and disadvantaged businesses, to provide the crane rental services outlined in the SOW. The market survey responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, which may be an unrestricted competition or a small business set-aside. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement by October 25, 2024.
