About this file

This is a Sources Sought Notice and Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) for market research purposes regarding the Ground Organic Loitering Aerial Munition (GOLAM) II program. USSOCOM awarded a 5-year IDIQ contract to Mistral, Inc. in 2024 for GOLAM II/HERO 120 systems and is now seeking vendors who can provide loitering munitions compatible with Mistral's HERO 120 platform to meet evolving operational requirements. The required systems must be lightweight, crew-serviceable munitions capable of high-angle attacks (above 60 degrees) with a separable forward payload section that allows explosives and lithium-ion battery-powered air vehicles to be handled and stored separately in compliance with applicable safety policies.

Vendors must demonstrate the ability to integrate with and modify Mistral's HERO 120 system, including authorization to conduct Engineering Change Proposals, and must provide systems capable of launching from multiple platforms including land vehicles, watercraft, and aircraft, in addition to man-portable deployment. These systems are intended for use by Special Operations Forces (SOF) for detection, risk assessment, target engagement, irregular warfare, and direct action operations across all combat environments. This notice is explicitly stated as market research only and does not constitute a solicitation for quotes or proposals. Interested parties should submit materials and inquiries to Contracting Officer Marvin Marcia at marvin.marcia@socom.mil. No response deadlines, award dates, or pricing terms are specified in this pre-solicitation notice.
