610 13th St.West, Columbia Falls, MT 59912 to the Many Glacier Administrative Site on the east side of Glacier National Park located on Many Glacier Road.

Glacier. Placement on the stem wall will require a crane. The mover shall supply any required transportation, equipment (including crane services), safety gear, and personnel needed to complete the move and final placement of the cabin. It is the mover’s responsibility to ensure all state and local permits or requirements are met and the move is coordinated, as necessary, with local authorities or utility companies. It is the mover’s responsibility to maintain appropriate insurance. It is also the mover’s responsibility to provide any necessary pilot cars or flaggers. The timing of the move needs to be coordinated with Glacier National Park personnel and contact info will be provided at the time of award.
Many Glacier Valley sees high visitor use and the only road servicing this area is gravel for several miles. The move will need to occur in the early morning hours to limit disruption to visitors.
Specifications:
The cabin is two-bedroom with a small kitchen and bathroom identical to the photo above. It is a simple rectangle and measures approximately 18-feet by 26-feet at the base. The roof is pitched
5:12. Peak to base height is 14-feet. The eaves extend 18-inches from the finish sides of the cabin making the overall width of the cabin 21’-5”.
The cabin is a wooden stick frame structure with internal shear walls and metal roof. A conservative estimate of weight is 24,000 pounds.
Route:
The load location is behind the Columbia Falls High School, at the southwest corner inside a shop building. There is good access into the site where the cabin has been built. The cabin will require jacking and roll out from within the shop. Once it is removed from the shop it can be loaded onto a trailer for transport. Please reference photo below of a prior year’s move for site conditions at the shop.
