About this file

This is Addendum No. 2, dated August 4, 2026, issued by the Town of Glastonbury for the Parker Terrace Wastewater Pumping Station Upgrades project (Bid# GL-2027-09). The addendum addresses clarifications and modifications to the original contract specifications and drawings through a series of twenty-two questions and answers. Key project components include installation of check valve limit switches for three pumps, chain link fence fabric specifications, hot mix asphalt pavement requirements, well abandonment procedures compliant with Connecticut Department of Public Health regulations, a hoist monorail beam coating specification, bypass pumping system requirements with specific invert elevations and surcharge limits, concrete encasement clarifications for pump discharge lines, electrical conduit type selections, firewall provisions, stainless steel material specifications for wet well flanges and fasteners, monorail structural sizing requirements, interior lateral bracing specifications for existing wet well walls, dewatering system submittals, generator connection box specifications, and control system programming responsibilities between the Instrumentation and Control System Supplier and the Owner's System Integrator (NIC Engineering). The addendum includes seven record drawings and as-built plans as attachments related to the force main and trunk sewers.

The addendum confirms that bypass pumping system remote monitoring and alarm equipment approved by the Town will be acceptable as an alternative to continuous 24/7 manning. The Town will coordinate with the selected contractor regarding laydown area availability on town property. The Owner shall provide fiber connection and firewall, with the contractor responsible for providing the ethernet switch and coordinating directly with Eversource for secondary service conduit and conductor requirements. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt and understanding of this addendum by initialing and dating it on the Form of General Bid. All specifications, drawings, and clarifications within the addendum are incorporated into and form part of the proposed contract documents.
