About this file
This notice provides details on a federal contract opportunity for an Expeditionary Fluid Analysis System. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is seeking to procure an Expeditionary Fluid Analysis System to modernize oil analysis for aircraft operated by the USAF. The EFAS must be a rugged and portable test instrument capable of operating from both AC power and battery. It must conduct real-time testing of engine oil and lubricating fluids and detect large wear metal particles indicative of serious engine failures. The EFAS should also analyze hydraulic fluids and include limited magnetic chip detector debris analysis capability. Interested parties may identify their capability to meet this requirement, though this notice is not a formal request for quotes. One or more items in this acquisition are subject to the Buy American Act. Spectro Scientific, Inc. is being considered for a sole-source Small Business Innovation Research Phase III contract for supplies and support.
