FORM 9 REQUIREMENTS: Need to replace floating dock system at CJ Strike Marina to include, L-Dock, Launch Dock, and Fishing Dock with metal-framed, floating dock system.

Additionally civil engineering will remove the old docks. No need for vendor to remove the old docks just install the new one.

ITEM(S) TO BE PURCHASE/OR SERVICE REQUIRED: Replacement of aforementioned floating docks with like, or upgraded, sturdy, metal-framed (galvanized steel or structural aluminum), weather/water resistant, modular (removable) dock system capable of withstanding torsion and stress loads generated by the CJ Strike waterway and associated watercraft. Must also be strong enough to have boats tied up to it in varying weather/water conditions without damaging dock or watercraft. No plastic or plastic framed dock systems, please.

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS (SPECS OF WHAT YOU WANT, MUST BE GENERIC IN A WAY THAT IS NOT SPECIFIC TO ONE BRAND, BUT INCLUDES WHAT YOU WANT:

L-Dock: Currently 8’ x 80’ from abutment to L-Joint, 8’ x 64’ from outside edge of joint extending left 90 degrees. Would prefer if new system has an inner and outer 45 degree section (see illustration) at the “L-joint” to allow better traffic flow into and out of the launch/breakwater area. Must be sturdy, jointed system to accommodate water movement/weather conditions. Must be modular to accommodate removal of dock from the water in the offseason. Must mount to abutment with grade-8 (or equivalent) bolts and hardware. Must have “bare-foot” friendly, non-skid/slip decking. Must have bumpers/padding sufficient enough to protect watercraft and ample cleats to facilitate docking of watercraft.

Launch Dock: Currently 6’ x 24’ (2ea. 12’ sections), can be single section or jointed two-section. Must be sturdy enough to withstand launching/retrieval of marina watercraft. Must have “bare-foot” friendly, non-skid/slip decking. Must have bumpers/padding to protect watercraft and ample cleats to facilitate docking of watercraft. Must have mounting fixtures to accommodate current concrete abutment mounts.

Fishing Dock: currently 6’ x 12’, used to be 6’ x 24’(see 1st picture), can be single section or jointed. Would like it to match Launch Dock with the following exceptions: Would like a third section to be joined at the end making a “T” to allow for a better fishing platform(see rough line drawing). Should be sturdy enough to stay mounted in-place year-round and considered permanent. Use of cable/chain to concrete anchors would be acceptable. Must have mounting fixtures to accommodate current concrete abutment mounts.

FOR A SERVICE, WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO….MUST BE SPECIFIC, IE. INSTALL/BUILD/CONSTRUCT : Perform initial installation of above described dock system, train ODR personnel how to install/remove system safely and efficiently. Provide at least one annual follow-up to ensure expected longevity is on track.

LOCATION OF ITEM/SERVICE: AF CJ Strike Marina DRAWINGS/SKETCHES/PICTURES TO HELP EXPLAIN WHAT IS NEEDED, NOT NEEDED TO PURCHASE AN ITEM: I have attached a snip-it from Google Maps to show current dock system. As well as two line drawings, one for the L-Dock and one for the fishing dock.
